EDOW was born in 2018 from a simple but powerful frustration: finding a pillow insert that actually stayed fluffy, fit properly, and didn't cost a fortune was harder than it should have been. Our founder, working out of a small workshop in Millbury, Ohio, believed that home comfort shouldn't require a luxury budget — and set out to prove it.
The early days were spent testing dozens of fill materials and fabric blends, measuring the difference between a pillow that looked good on day one and one that still looked good six months later. The breakthrough came when we identified an upgraded microfiber polyester fiber with exceptional spring-back properties — a material that could be compressed flat for shipping, expand to full loft within hours, and recover beautifully after every wash.
By the end of 2018, the first EDOW throw pillow inserts had reached their first 500 customers — and the reviews said everything. People weren't just satisfied; they were surprised. They expected a budget insert to look and feel like a budget insert. Instead, they found something that rivaled options costing two or three times as much.
Word spread quickly. By 2019, EDOW had expanded its range to include multiple sizes — 16×16, 18×18 square inserts, and the 12×20 rectangular lumbar inserts that became a bestseller among interior decorators and home enthusiasts alike. The 18×18 set of 2 and set of 4 quickly climbed to the top of the Throw Pillow Inserts category, earning thousands of verified reviews from real customers with real living rooms.
In 2020, we introduced our Luxury Sleeping Pillow collection — a natural evolution from decorative to functional comfort. Designed for full nights of restorative sleep rather than just sofa styling, the queen-size sleeping pillow brought the same attention to fill quality and long-term durability that defined our throw inserts.
